Where you already talk
Telegram wakes it today. Slack, Discord, WhatsApp, and email can be saved for the channels still opening.
Personal agent runtime
Hagentus is a personal assistant that stays dormant until a message, a schedule, or a webhook arrives. It works the turn, then rests. You pay for the work, not the silence.
The idle tax
A companion that sits in a loop still needs a machine that never sleeps.
Always-on assistants spend most of their life waiting. The server does not. Hagentus scales to zero between turns.
No VPS, no Docker process to restart, no connection you have to keep warm. A message is enough to bring it back.
Control stays with the runtime. Heavy or risky tools run outside it, so a bad tool call has a smaller blast radius.
How it works
Hagentus is an actor, not a forever process. State is a snapshot. Work starts only when something happens.
A chat message, a schedule, or a webhook condenses the actor for one turn. The gateway answers immediately. Reasoning continues after the acknowledgement.
Long work splits into parallel tasks. The runtime yields instead of blocking, then gathers the results when they return.
The reply goes out. Memory stays. The hot process does not. The next message finds the same assistant, already quiet.
What you get
Telegram wakes it today. Slack, Discord, WhatsApp, and email can be saved for the channels still opening.
Short context, durable notes, and files live outside the hot path. The assistant remembers after it has gone quiet.
Heartbeats, cron jobs, and bundled skills run when they are due. Nothing has to stay awake to notice the clock.
Browsers, files, and remote tool servers run as separate work. The core keeps the decision, not the machinery.
Pre-release
Hagentus is not public yet. Leave an email and we will write when early access opens.
